A 14-arce campus built in the early 1900’s as Shimer College, a liberal arts school founded by Francis Shimer and affiliated with the University of Chicago for over 50 years. Several of the Georgian-style buildings are being converted to affordable and workforce housing while being restored to their original condition. The project has received historic preservation tax credits and affordable housing tax credits through the Illinois Housing Development Authority.
